21 Collins, Wilkie, THE MOONSTONE.
New York: The Heritage Press. (1959). There is a tiny stamp (magnifying glass helpful i The outside of the joint between the spine and the front cover is rubbed with small cracks. It cant be seen when the book is on the shelf, but it is there. The book is tight and with light shelf wear is Very Good. Contents are bright and Near Fine. A very ordinary book with a superb binding. 484 (1) pages. 9 3/8 x 6 1/2. 
Frontispiece with tissue guard and illustrated by Dignimont. The book, first published in 1868, is regarded by some as the precursor of the modern mystery novel.

London: Folio Society, 1956. There is a tiny stamp ( magnifying glass helpful  The front hinge is cracked, but the binding is firm, Light shelf wear, else Very Good or better. There is some wrinkling of the title pages that is apparently cuased by the binder pulling the signatures during the rebind. Except as noted, Contents are very good. 519 pages. 8 3/4 x 6. 
Frontispiece with tissue guard and illustrated with lithographs by Lynton Lamb. This book, first written in 1859 is considered to be among the first mystery novels and is sometimes considered an early example of detective fiction.
