Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1925. 2nd impression. Bound in blue cloth with gilt stamped title on fro Slightly shaken and there is a large area of the front cover that is lightly rubbed or stained as the color is lighter than the rest of the book. Some of the gilt on the title is a bit faded. Except as noted, it is very good/ no d.j.
End paper maps showing the route of the flight; Illustrated with photographs. This is a unique book. It is signed by all six of the aviators and by Lowell Thomas. Apparently the young former owner of the book received it as a gift and proceeded to get the autographs. There is a short note from Lowell Thomas tipped in with the envelope. The signature of Erik Nelson is tipped in below his photo. The other aviators have signed in the book except for John Harding who also sent a short note with Lowell Thomas' home address and that note is tipped-in. There was a limited edition of this book published that had all the aviators' signatures, but it was not like this one which is a tribute to the interest and persistence of the young James Blackstone to gather all of them. A great history of aviation enhanced by the signatures.
