London: Printed by C. Stower, Pater-noster Row; For R. Dutton, Gracechurch-Streetl and Thomas Ostell, Ave-Maria Lane. 1807. Hardbound in 3/4 brown calf over marbled boards. F Boards are rubbed, some portions of the leather are peeled and the top spine compartment on Vol. II is missing the spine cover. First 10 pages of vol. 1 have foxing and paper is darkened, else contents have scattered foxing, but generally are very good.
Thomas Warton (January 9, 1728 – May 21, 1790) was an English literary historian and critic, as well as a poet. From 1785 through 1790 he was the Poet Laureate of England. This was his first major academic work.
